I'm about to slap some new rotors and pads on my 85...there isn't any difficulty in that? Like it doesn't involve me tearing half of the suspension apart just to get the rotor off does it?

Front? Back? Both...
Pretty easy.
No tearing half of the suspension apart.
Follow the Haynes Manual.
If you are doing the fronts might as well grease those bearings.

The fronts are very easy, the backs a little harder because you have to put slack in the emergency brake cable to disconect from the brake assembly. KKing

Dammit...it's an 85. Oh well, guess I'll have to figure it out as I go.

I just hope I have enough tools :-D

No hub assembly removal, just replace the fronts, unless you have to turn the rotors, the rears easy too; but you will find they are little more difficult to change; just give yourself a couple of hours.
