All new!!! Low-flow stainess steel performance robbing mufflers! Just what everyone needs for their Z!

I'm sure there is some scientific premise that makes this a good design, but could someone please explain it to me?

While it is true that it has additional bends in it, the tubing is pretty large and you need to remember that they were created for high rev inline 4's originally. The bonus is that they use less restrictive muffler baffles inside but it runs it through two chambers. Quiet on idle during low velocity air pressure but noisy during higher velocity (high RPM) air pressure.

According to normal air flow calcs a 90 degree bend is equivalent to 10 feet of piping of same diameter.

Maybe it is just one large chamber inside. I am not too sure but people do rave about them on the boards - more power, quiet idle.
