I have a 80 zx with the climate control system(yuk), its almost winter here in Sask. Canada and its going to get really cold soon..My Q is that my blower motor doesnt blow very hard, and i checked back in the postings and found some really good things to check (thx), but the other prob im having is that the motor will run for awhile then stop, and if you move the controls from low to def for ex. it will turn back on for awhile then stop. you can keep doing this for ever but gets annoying and its doesnt defog in the morn if your not in there to move the switch back and forth. Any help would be grateful Thx

I looked through the factory service manual and there are 20 pages devoted to the climate control system (they simply call it "auto"). I could send you the electrical diagram page if that would help. It appears that there is a rheostat connected to the air mix door which probably explains why the blower kicks back on when you move the controls. The problem could be with that rheostat or the "blower amplifier".

There is a service manual on ebay right now, auction ending in an hour, that you might want to consider getting. However, with this particular problem, there isn't a lot of info - most of the section is about fixing the temperature control, not the blower.
