The pics that Stu84na posted above are of my car- I want to clarify that in addition to the stock stripes, my Z has some pretty crazy handpainted stripes that the former owner added, so don't get confused between the two. The factory stripes separate the black and silver two tone paint- everything above was added. Here are a few more recent pics (the one's Stu posted were taken circa 1997- these were from 2004.
AZ-- ugg, I wish my AE was all stock- actually I was going to remove the louvers a while back (already took off the ones on the hatch b/c of all the rattles...), but I'm concerned about messing up the window seals....
They don't exactly do wonders for visability- but I guess they do round out the totally 80's package quite well.
Hope all is well- sorry I didn't make it to MoSport this year.
Ethan - I hope you didn't mind me posting the pictures here on the forums. I had found a link here on zcar.com from about a year ago to your website with these pictures. Thanks for posting these updated ones - your AE looks fantastic!

Window glass is much wider than the louvers. But I guess if you pull too hard, they might break some of the seal.

I didn't either. The week before the show, I rear ended someone with the convertible I was intending on bringing. The AE isn't going anywhere with a blown head gasket, and won't be seeing any repairs until the 'vert is done.
BTW: are you in the 50th AE database?

Thanks for the pictures. Without an orginal factory kit the only way I know of to replace the striping is to buy the black and gold stripes from a paint store and piece it up. I'll just have to guess at the width of the stripes. KKing
