Air Regulator part causing high idle is Serviceable. FYI. 3yr running.

Hi guys, I just want to share and make you all aware... (and that this thread would pop up if someone searched)
I had the typical high idle (1200-1400) with idle screw all the way adjusted... and the typical bouncing idle.
With the help of Tim/Luminar, we determined is was a faulty IACV Air Regulator.
This part- http://i.ebayimg.com/14/!B5P3HQgBWk~$%28KGrHqYOKiIEy%28tZNKohBMs3mVJ+iw~~0_1.JPG?set_id=8800005007

Before replacing it, I cracked it open for the heck of it and found that the heat activated spring had come un-seated and was therefore not working.
I re-seated the spring, put it back together, re-installed it, and it's worked great for over three years now. No issues whatsoever.

My hunch is that a really cold night in Minnesota made the spring retract so much that it popped out of place... but who knows.

Anyway, just a heads up that it might be worth taking a look at before jumping the gun on the $100+ part.

PM me if you've got questions.

Good call. I couldn't remember which, so I googled IACV and the Air Regulator picture came up so I assumed that was it... my B.
