So, I have never been happy with the heat opn my 78Z. And this is the time of year when it matters. I replaced my water **** some years back. It basically works fine, except that it is a little weak. I wondered, is that little screw that sticks out front of the **** an adjusting screw? Someone on this site mentioned something about a "piston" inside the water **** that determines the amount of water the other day. Does that little screw control the range of the piston and determine how much weater can pass through the device or the temperature range? I know that there is a capillary tube that snakes from the device and goes to a temperature sensor in the intake air passageway. That has some kind of regulting function. However, the FSM is not clear on how this works, does not explain the purpose fo the screw. If someone understands it well and can advise, I am sure we all would be grateful. If the little screw is a temperature adjustor, which way do we turn it for MORE HEAT!!!
