ok well i have an 81zx n/a and i really dont get much acceleration starting off....it will hardly even peel out (unless i pop the clutch)...but once it gets to about 3 grand it accelerates like no other...also it doesnt buck..so im thinking that its not the fuel injectors....i mean its not like i would have burn out contests or even peel out but u know...its not that i would its that i could

Sounds like you could need a new clutch.

If you have problems pulling away in first it could be a clutch bearing has gone.

Not too clued up with clutch assemblies. So I'll let someone else fill in the gaps.

I think its normal

the 81's reletively low horsies to weight makes it slower on acceleration. Unfortunately, I think it really doesnt have enough Go Baby Go in it to spin out without revving and dumping the clutch. your clutch isnt slipping is it? most cars dont really accelerate fast until 2000+ rpm thats why we usually pop the clutch right?
