Dear Z friends,I have to give a special thanks to Z Man at Z SPEACIALTIES in Washington. My 75 280z was giving me headache, the car would run rich and would not run, after putting on every thing new (tank, fuel pump, fuel filter,injectors,f.p.regulator).If I coulnd't get it running I was going to take to a local shop but I called him and told me to get a ohm meter and told me what to check for,he told me that the water temp sensor is most likely the problem(wire pigtail goes bad) so I changed the pigtail and went ahead and bought a new sensor($21.00).I turned the key and I was shocked, the car ran perfect like a kitten, my wife and I both looked at each other and just smiled.I know that this past week I have been stressed out not being able to figure out the problem.I want to personally thank MR. Z for taking time to help me after several phone calls. It is nice when people are not selfish and are willing to pass on great knowledge to the next generation so that when we (Z owners) can help others with the same problem. Thanks MR. Z man,you didn't have to help me but you did anyway.ROBERT
i too had an awesome experience with oliver at zspecialties.he's been around z cars for more than 20 years and knows his stuff.it's too bad he isn't in the southern california area.he could teach the so called z specialists down here a thing or two.he's one of the last Z car guru's who's always willing to help out a fellow Z'er.one thing you could do to repay him is go to him first if you need parts.motorsport is great but oliver is a one man show who not only supplies people with parts but works on the cars aswell.i'd like to see him stay in business for a long time.thanks aswell Z man keep up the great customer service.
I had the exact same prob. I called a guy name Riley Curtis from Lynchburg Nissan... 800-443-2117 & he told me the same thing. Change that WTS & it puuuuuuuuuurrrrrred! These sensors will have you thinking your Z is some GARBAGE if you don't know much about em. What's Z Man's #? Maybe I can call him in the future. But Riley will give us Z owners very good prices on parts too!
He's did great work on my Z when I was in Washington. Dropped in a great new clutch and helped me trouble shoot a few problems. The Z Man is a great asset to the Z community.
