Have anyone buy the new aac valve (aux. air control valve)lately? Look like Nissan re-design the part and they put in the idle adjust screw on the side of it. Just got mine yesterday, put it in and now the idle are perfect. By the way, I have an 81-280zxt

Bluestreak....tell us more. What was your car doing that prompted you to replace the AAC valve? What is the part number, how much did it cost? The idle adjustment you speak of.....it is an adjustment for idle speed, I presume?

My car was idling real rough and some time would just die when i came to an stop. I got the fsm and it ask me to check the aac valve. Applied vaccum to it. Check that it move all the way up and then plug the hole with the applied vaccum and check that it would stay open for more than 30 seconds. If not then the valve is bad. It's about $150 for the new valve. Since Nissan re-design the valve, you have to buy the hole kit if you never replace the valve before. The kit consist of the aac valve, cover, gasket valve, gasket acc and 2 studs. The new valve has an slot with a black plastic cover, inside the cover there is a hex screw that i think is the adjustment for the idle ( my old valve does not have that extra hex screw). Since the idle on my car are so perfect after i put in the new valve, I didn't have to play with that screw yet. The part # as follow:

23781-V3025 Valve AAC
23787-V0800 Cover
23785-V2710 Gasket Valve
23785-V0810 Gasket ACC
14065-B8600 Stud
