86 300zxT, 5-speed with 101k on it. heres the info he sent me on it:

"Turbo and engine run very strong. Keepin in mind that the upper
waterpump
hose and the water pump itself needs to be replaced, also issue with
holding
a charge, that is connected with the rear breaks. There is a recall
that is
ulimited as far as time is concerned and thats the fuel injectors. All
you
have to do with that is take it into the dealership and it is free. So
fix
water pump and charge issue -and you will have a running car, that's
the
only out of pocket expense that you may acquire. I can get you picks of
the
car by the end of this weekend, because i am showing another car this
weekend i am limited to time. John, this car is going to take some
work, so
i am letting you know now."

the car has been sitting in his garage for about a yr, so the water pump siezed up but he is going to replace water pump and hose(s) . drive seat is seperated at seam(s). new yokohama tires. break lights do not work

what do u guys think this is worth?

Talk to someone at nissan about the fuel injectors, i needed to replace mine a few months ago, and i had the impression that they were under recall, and they told me they were not. But i have an 87, so they might have been different.

they are lying to you Nathan.....all 84-89 300zx's were covered.

It's not a recall per se...it's a Saftey Service Campaign....

call 1-800-Nissan-1 and have your vin# handy..

I sold mine exactly like that. Same color year etc. for $4500 dollars a year of so ago. However, everything worked.

I would say yes it is worth a thousand dollars easy. But, I bought mine like that for $2700 about three years ago. I may have paid too much. I don't think so.

If everything else works it's a great deal. Especially if he is going to replace the water pump.

I'm thinking the water pump or cam seal may have shorted the alt which is common. So you might need a new alt at $150 or so.

I would ask him to check the cam seals while he is doing the water pump and timing belt. This is recommended to be done all at the same time while it is apart. Or at least you could ask him parts are like $250 labor is like $300 if you have NISSAN do it.

Just to give you an idea.

However, the answer on this site is always "Its worth what somebody is willing to pay".

Have fun !!!
