Ok, I was at my girlfriends house, when all of a sudden, my stop lights come on. So I think, ok, maybe it's just a fluke... well, they NEVER TURNED OFF. I had to pull the fuse out for the stop lamps to get them to turn off, and had no stop lamps on the way home. And earlier before this incident, I went outside to find my headlights on, with the switch turned to OFF. Can anyone tell me what the heck is going on here, and what I could do to fix it? (I hope to God it's not the computer... lol).

Thanks

Yeah, the headlight switches are bastards.

As for the brake lights, have you found any bits of broken, yellowed plastic on the floor lately? It is not unusual for the little plastic bumper (on the brake pedal lever) which pushes the stop light switch off, to fall apart after 20 years.
You need to stick your head under the dash to see it.
It is a cheap part from the dealer. Buy a couple so you can replace the bumper for cruise control switch as well.
If it's not that then good luck with the multimeter.

Thanks guys, those rubber brake stoppers were junk, of course. But for the mean time till I can get the original stoppers, I just got a thin piece of playwood and covered the holes and taped them down, may not be the best job, but it does work, lol. Thanks again.
