i didnt get a chance to grab the boost sensor at the junkyard when i got my harness. but here is my question before i go scavaging for one.

does the boost sensor by chance send a boost pressure signal to the ECU and in turn does the ECU retard timing as boost pressure increases ?

i know MSD makes a nice system , but i want to be safe when i start driving the car when i finish the tranny up here in the next day or so.

THANKS !

The boost sensor isn't hooked to the ECU so the factory ECU setup has no idea what boost level the engine is at. Another good reason to ditch the whole factory ZXT ECU setup. I personally think you'd be WAY better off with a MSD BTM box and the stock NA ECU with bigger injectors and maybe the turbo AFM moded to work. At least then you'd have ignition timing control and are part way to a stand alone setup. Everyone who has never done this says you need the ZXT electronics, you don't.
