I have wrecked my 83 280zx. I need front end parts asap. Does anyone know where to find a bumper, hood, passenger side fender, radiator cradle and headlight rims? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: chivalry is dead, eh Doug?

Sorry, I just think that whenever anybody wrecks their Z they should tell why they did it. I've seen all kinds of wrecked Z's, and most of them are obviously wrecked because they hit something, usually at the front end. That means the driver ran into something. I've noted that it's more likely for a Z pilot to run into something than with other cars. I don't know why. I'd like to know.

Are the brakes on the average Z really that bad? ( I kind of believe it, from some of the Z brake systems I've looked at. )

AAAAAAIIIIIIIIYYYYEEEEEEEE!!!! ( Ooops )

I don't know if the brakes are that bad or not, but like you said every wrecked Z I've seen out here hit something stationary. In fact that's how I got my '79 for $600, the guys' wife hit a parked truck in a parking lot(low speed)- he was trying to teach her how to drive a stick!
Ive been looking at praise dyno brake in your neck of the woods(texas) they make all kinds of trick pad compounds for cars.

I don't think it's that the brakes are bad, it's just that the accelerator feels SO GOOD! You don't want to take your foot off it to use the pesky brakes.

Even when the brakes on my Z started going bad (after 6 years in storage) they still were able to stop the car just fine, they just made a lot of noise in the process.

Deborah, we sell all of the parts that you would need, don't ship hoods, but ship the rest. Call 1-800-533-5659
We also are hooked electronically to 4500 yards, and can tap their inventory, maybe something closer to you. joe
