'83 280zx turbo has an erratic idle?

I have been driving this car after it set for a few months, not sure how long? After my uncle passed away my aunt wanted me to put a power steering hose on and get it inspected, so I do. After a few days I pulled into get water at a convenient store, would not start. Notice after pulling the coil wire the oil from the coil was seeping into the socket for the coil to distributor spark plug wire. I replaced the coil with the wires. A few days later I got to work and car would not start. Got a reman. distributor unit from napa. Was the only parts store that could get it? I put it on and notice an erratic idle as if it was hunting for idle, cause it would idle down after warming up. I later replaced cap, rotor, and spark plugs with the same symptoms. Does anyone have a clue for me on where to start?
