I was wondering if it would be possible to replace the digital dash (or just the speedometer) with a high-mph speedometer .. This digital one only shows upto 85 and I need to know how to put one in that does 130 or 160.. Please give me any help or suggestions on replacing dash or speedometer..

You will need the analogue dash from the 83 donor, the Gauge Water Temperature Sending Unit and the Fuel Gauge Sending Unit from the fuel tank.

Grab a 130 mph speedo cluster from a 1979 zx. Along with the cluster you will need: speedo cable, fuel sending unit and temp sending unit. Then all you would have to do is swap everything out. Set aside a weekend for the swap as you will have to pull out the dash.

If he uses the head from a 79 he will need the entire wiring harness from the 79.

The speedo cable is the same 79 - 83.
