As with Javier in the other post, I too put tokico's on my 81 turbo and some motorsport springs. It rides a little rough on the big bad bumps but performs amazingly in the corners. I got my puppies from Motorsport Auto(1-800-633-6331). The whole thing cost about 5 bills and was worth it. As for checking to see if they are bad, just push down on each corner of the car. Put your weight into it and see how fast the car returns back to position. If it returns fast then the valving inside the strut is shot. If it does not move at all then they are shot. If it bounces up and down a few times they are shot. The movement you are looking for is a slow movement back to the original stance before you pushed down. Struts are merely used to help dampen the movement of the springs both when the spring compresses and decompresses. Good luck.
