Actually check just about every electrical connection on the intake manifold. Considering where the radiator hose is located that water could fly to just about anywhere. The connectors are old to start with and getting water in them old adds to the connection problem.
The distributor is also likely to have condesation in it and can lead to this hesitating problem. I would replace the Cap and Rotor anyways since they are not the expensive. Hope this helps you.
