just had my engine rebuilt....the mechanic showed me a couple of black wires (beeg ones) that come out of the alternator harness...that he couldnt figure out where to hook-up....
one looks like it should go to the alternator (but i'm not sure where) the other"?".
could somebody that has an 82' zxt gl look at theirs and tell me how theirs is connected...?...this would help me a lot.....thanks,

I have an 82 GL, Im at school right now but I'll check my hook up's tonight and get back to you tomrrow afternoon.

you should have one black wire that is longer then the rest. That wire goes to the front of the aux air motor(fan) bracket (ground) the next wire is a big white wire, and a big black wire, a blue wire with a condenser(capacitor) and the two pronged connector. The black wire and the case of the capacitor goes to the ground screw in the back of the alternator. The white wire goes to the battery(+) connector on the back of the alternator. the two pronged connector goes to the back of the alternator. then you have the two pronged connector with the big boot and that goes to the oil sender sensor. And last but not least two round connectors with gromets (red and black) that goes to the aux air fan.
