I have a 82ZX with auto-climate control, the A/C doesn't work and I don't want.
The water shutoff valve leaks. How much of the sistem can I eliminate [ potental problums ] To end up with a bare bones, Heat-Vent- Defrost unit.

If you can find one, get rid of that system and go with a "manual", AC/heat, system. The water **** is a pain to change so change whole system if you can.
Had my wife's ZX done for $350 and it was well worth it.
