Maybe someone else out there has this problem. The hatch in my 280zx 2+2 has a foam pad underneath the carpet which has shrunken with age so that it is at least an inch shorter than it should be in length and width (can't tell on height).

Does anyone know where I can get a (new) replacement?

Thanks,
Darryl

2 ways....

1. Cheap- Goto your local Carpet Outlet, Buy the highest quality/thickest carpet pad you can find. Anything 1+inch should work nicely. Get a 4X4 sheet. Should only cost about $8 then take the carpet out of your car and lay id down as a template, then cut out the shape with a SHARP razor. If you really want to be creative, get some felt and spray adhesive, cut the felt into @3inch thick strips, spray one side of the strips and stick it to the cut edge to create a clean edge. Then slap it back in.

2. Big $$$$. Get a carpet pad replacement kit from a Auto Upholstery shop or from JCW. I have seen them go for about $50 +s&h.
