[Yellow 280Z]

i'm just looking to find out what the differences are between the '81 280ZX and '82 280ZX toys...

like, the '82 locks both doors and unlocks both doors automatically from the left side, the little check stuff light, the dome light dimms, what the lady says when she talks, etc... small fancy things like that...

As I understand it, all the '81turbos were GL (top of the line) models. My '81 ZXT doesn't have electric door locks, there is no talking lady or automatic climate control. I do have (did have) air, cruise, power mirrors, tee tops and high back bucket seats.

In 82 they added safty lights on the inside of the doors.

1982-83 have a different style of rear brake caliper. I do not know if it is a better design, but it is different. They also have the "wide stereo" button on the stereo to make the music sound all echoy n stuff. Pretty pointless.

Of course you can see that the chrome bumper is gone in 82 and they added the wide rubber strip to protect the doors from door dings.
Also all n/a and turbo models from 1982-83 use the 1981 "turbo" style hood.

The lower plastic grill on front is different in 82-83.

Anyone know when and with what model those headlight washers are available on?
I've seen a 1981 with them but my 82 does not have them. (and I'm ok with that)
