Wow, Sure hope I dont have to go back to these green cloth wrap 1/4" hoses.. Is there something better? [like silcone] . How much pressure are on these hoses? Did nissan recall cloth wrap hoses? I found these hoses to be real brittle and easy to break. Did not stand up to the test of time. Probably alot of people's [just dont run right] problem .. Sure would like some input on hoses and how much $$ a foot ..
Thanks

Yes there is something better.... called braided stainless steel hose. But you don't have to go that route. Just go to a NAPA, ect and buy some bulk fuel injection hose. Don't buy the prepackage stuff, you will pay through the nose... but it off the reel.
The size you need is 5/16" and no, silicone hose will not work for fuel line.

Only Buy High Pressure Hose

Don't go into the autoparts store and ask for 5/16" fuel hose as they'll give you the low pressure hose. You need the high pressure hose for all fuel injection hoses in your Z. Only place I found that stocked it was Kragen. Pepboys and Autozone looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for high pressure line. You can also order it from MSA. Don't order it from VB as they'll send you 1/4".

Re: Only Buy High Pressure Hose

Yep, fuel injection hose is high pressure hose... Autozone does have it, but it is in blister packs, very expensive. I use to get the bulk hose from Pep Boys or NAPA. Don't have to worry about it now, went to braided line. If you can find a racecar supply shop localy (look in the yellow pages under automotive performance...) Buy some Aeroquip socketless hose. That stuff rules! Get the AN-6 size (3/8"). I used it for vacuum lines and for the replacement line at the fuel pump, vent, ect, around the fuel tank area.
