can i put a 78 distribator with two wire comeing out of it in my 76 280z.the one in the 76 has three wire.if so can some one tell me how to hook it up.thanks ahead of time

Yet again I'll just say, "No". If you understood the differences between the two systems maybe you could install a single-pickup into a dual-pickup system. But that would involve rewiring several sensors. Why do you think your dizzy is even at fault. The rich running condition is well documented here (especially for 75&76 models).

Although much of the info here is wrong and I got into an argument trying to make my point (because I was right) it is worth reading.

I know it works. When I used to the 78 dizz in 76, I bypass the vacuum solonoid. I guess it's not correct but I got it working fine

where is the vacuum solonoid.and what does it look like.can you tell me how you hooked it up.thanks

it's located on top of the thermostat housing. follow the vauum advance hose and you'll find it
