I am always having problems with my air flow regulator. They seem to always get stuck in the closed position, which shuts my car down. I had a new one for about a year until it happened.
Lately I have been swapping in used ones, but they never last very long.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Should I break down and buy a new one or what?

nissan claims the air regulator won't last much more than 60k miles. that's why it's almost impossible to find a good used one. i went through the same problem of trying different used parts. i finally had to spend the $100 for a new one and i haven't had a problem since.

Oh-Oh I've had the original AFM in my car for 164,000 miles. I guess it must be bad? Maybe you have the AFM confused with the air regulator?
Anyway, if it truly is your AFM, contact Jerry at All Z Car Specialists in Fort Worth. (817) 483-0393. If your car can keep on going he can eventually come up with a good used one for you.
