Ok,
I've gotten all the power cables refreshed and back togather again. The fuel pump is pumpin, the injectors are firing, the plugs are clean, cap rotor and wires are pretty fresh. I start the car, it starts a little slow, kinda like my good runnin 78 when its a little cold. (its also cold outside) The car will idle prefectly, great super smooth and happy for about 5 seconds, then it dies. Not a slow death, but a quick death. Also, if you even think of touching the throttle, bam! its done. I think it to be a sensor issue, ohh I also replaced the maf on a whim. If someone could get my brain to work, that would be great.
Thanks for all your help,
Phil

ohhh, its a 77 280 efi
Could it be something to do with the butterfly plate in the throttle chamber? My brothers 300zx was doing the same thing, but for the life of me, I cant remember what we did to correct it, but we did correct it, and yes if you even think about touching the gas petal, bam shes dead.

I know you have checked the TPS..............

Charles.....scratching head
I remember doing something like that when I accidentally put the MAF in backwards lol

Ok,
So I got a bit farther today. On my friends suggestion I cranked it till it was a little warm and the car would run longer. Then I tried unplugging lake half of the sensors on the intake execpt the tps and the maf. The car would run really good for quite a long time(30 seconds) and then slowly stall. I could start, put my foot into it(with sensors unplugged) and the car would rev, either lightly or strong, but then die. It would always die in about the same amount of time. With the sensors in the car would kinda rev, but intake backfire. This, with out the sensor makes me think that maybe the fuel pump is not putting out the right amount of fuel, or the regulator may have an issue. Any other ideas?
Thanks,
"that maybe the fuel pump is not putting out the right amount of fuel"

You gotta know what your pressure is or your just, guessing.

Also loosen fuel cap.
