HiYaAll,
Just to let you know I checked the wires on my 75 today. Well.. I replaced 3 because the wires going to the dist cap were badly corroded. Apparently sometimes you get those wires that are straight with a rubber boot thrown over it.
The previous owner didn't have them seated all the way. Green/whiteish corrosion had set in on the wires and inside the cap. Just because the cap says Bosch doesn't mean you can take it for granted. Next I checked where the wire fit inside the coil. It too was all corroded and rusty so I used some sandpaper to clean it up inside. Use dialetric grease whenever possible. Its amazing that the car even ran considering the limited connections.

From what knowledge I have the dialetric grease is only for the seal of the boots and not to be used on the contact porton.

Lug,
Dialetric grease CAN be used directly on contact points.
I use it everywhere- inside all connectors etc.
It not only helps elecrical contact but also prevents corrosion.
Permatex has a pretty good sized squeeze tube for about $6 .
