I recently bought a 76 280z. Once I got it home i noticed the hose going to the pcv valve was callasped, so I replaced it and tried to crank the car. the car ran for a couple of seconds but then seemed to choke out. i removed the hose and found gas in it. I also removed the pcv valve and gas started dripping out. Now the car will not crank at all. Is there any explanation and remedy for this?

Greg,
If you have fuel running out of your PCV valve then you are getting gasoline injected into your intake manifold. The first culprit to check is your cold start injector. It is your 7th fuel injector and is mounted on your intake manifold just after the throttle body. Follow the fuel hose that takes off from the center of your injector fuel rail toward the drivers side of the car. It will lead you to the injector. Disconnect and clamp off the hose and try it again.
