Did the 260z come with a headliner. I have been glueing headliner material to the roof without much success. It keeps falling down no matter how much headliner glue I use. Suggestions?

my headliner had a foam on top of it, the glue stuck good to this, also you tuck the headliner under the metal on the roof.

you may also wanna try a cardboard thats slightly to big so it bows between the metal and the foam then also glue the cardboard up sometimes it just needs help with pressure to stay right. by the way dont use the autyozone spary on adhesive get a real glue for it try calling a local interior shop see what they use and if they can sell ya some

Just use foam backed headliner material, and 3M adhesive (do not get cheap here, only 3M, and follow the directions)
It only tucks under the metal trim not the windshield weatherstripping.

I tried 3M and a couple others. None worked. Finally used "Sticky Stuff" sold by MSA and it worked perfectly and has held firm in SoCal heat for over two years.

I have used 3M twice in AZ where temps reach 122 in the shade, no problems yet.
