I'm trying to determine the problem with not getting sufficient voltage to the electric fuel pump on my 1973 240Z. Battery is good, but only 2 volts measurable at the positive lead to the electric fuel pump. Voltage at the solenoid is 12 v in, but only 8 v out. Any ideas on why this is and could this be a problem running the elec fuel pump?

Wires under the dash were checked - no breaks, good conductivity. I can't find the "fuseable links" as indicated in Chilton's manual. Is this the SEALED small box mounted on the engine side (right side) of the firewall? Are the fuseable links associated with running current to the electric fuel pump? (yes, the 20A fuse at the fuse box is okay.)

Is there a relay under the dash (right side) that could be causing the problem? Any suggestions will be appreciated! Thanks.
