The syncrosare probably pretty worn out. Lots of folks swith to Redline MT90 for tranny fluid, helps the syncros..Wortha try if you haven't yet.
5th gear trouble?
I got a 93 300zx tt and it sometimes gives me a little trouble goin into 5th gear. theres no grinds or troubles goin into any other gear and clutch feels fine. andyone have an idea what it could be?

i cannot yet give my $0.02 for this one way or the other, but it has been mentioned time and time again that 20W50 Valvoline synthetic motor oil does wonders for a worn out Transmission, Differential, and in the engine as well..
20W50 Synthetic motor oil. But if your synros are fried neither will help.
