There are 4 ports- identified by
http://users2.ev1.net/~jboykin/vaclines.htm

1. On my heater control valve, there are two ports: one on top and one on bottom. Which port goes to the vacuum canister? Where does the other go to?

2. From the intake manifold, which port does the vacuum canister connect to?

NA is not the same as turbo. The vac tanks are different.

1. Standard heater tap ("water ****" in FSM-speak) has one vacuum connection on the top. It only needs one since it is spring loaded to the open position.

2. "M" port. The port with the one-way valve.

This is a friends car and he doesn't own a FSM for reference. His haynes isn't very clear.
Sounds like the PO installed some aftermarket heater ****.

3. Does the cruise control come directly off of the vac tank?

Thanks for the info. Since he has been trying to re-direct these vacuum lines, his idle is erratic. I'm not sure what he's got going on over there and this is my week to put my engine back together...so NO TIME FOR HIM! What a friend.
