Hi, i just picked up a 5 speed tranny out of a z made in 4/80 is that a 1980 model car or 81 i just want to know which one i got. i wanted a 1980 model transmission.

4/80 should be a 1980 tranny .

Normally cars made after 7/80 would be 1981 models.
