The turbo intake tube is larger... and ebay CAI's are crap. 
All you need is a 3" tube & a REAL filter.

280ZX TURBO Cold Air Filter
I have a 1983 280ZX Turbo and was looking for a cold air intake. All Ebay auctions seem to be only for NON-Turbo's. Where do I have to go to get something that will work?? Is there any special modification I'll need to do? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP Thanks

If Msa doesn't have one go to a muffler shop and get a three inch 90 degree short radius bend. Buy a K&N cone filter with 3" dia intake. weld or braze a piece of flat bar to the elbow that will reach one of the bolts below it so things don't sag and you are done.
You all ready have a cold air intake and it came stock.
