I need your help on this subject!
I own a 1979 280zx which I absolutely love in great shape with low miles.
When I first start up the motor when it's cold, the engine is so quiet that sometimes I can't even tell that it's running. However, my concern lately is that once the engine is hot, there is a annoying ticking noise from the motor. It sounds like the valves.
Does anyone out there know of a cure for this? I probably need the valves adjusted, but if that's the case shouldn't the engine tick all the time(not only when it's warmed up)?
Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!! TGUY
