I had one, it was a 1972... I parted it out about 15 years ago.
I couldn't get a title for it.
It was a sad event in my life.

Sorry no Pix.

I have a 1974 260z with the factory metalic green paint. I know someone with a 1972 240z which has the exact same colour. There are photos of it at

http://au.photos.yahoo.com/glenn_svanberg

The lightings pretty bad though. It will look different to your 240z because its got the g-nose body kit, and the factory 260z mags. Should be the same colour though (and don't make fun of us because we say colour, not color, amerikanski's)

P.S This is an ugly colour, which makes the car look like some kind of doped up amphibian, which can cause embarassment when trying to kick a hondas arse seriously, so I plan to repaint a.s.a.p.

I like the color, although you're correct that you don't see it much. There were at least half a dozen green Z cars at the West Coast Nationals in 2000, but none in 2001. If you can find a photo album from '00, you'll find some there. I just checked around and all anyone has are pics of the '01 show.

Hey, wait a minute....

My car's metallic green colour (not factory--over red over orange) and when I kick Honda Arse, I'm not embarrassed. Now when my Mercedes/Lexus/Jaguar friends come over--who have never driven anything else--THEN I am embarrassed. "Gee, Steve, have you ever washed it?" I hope they never know.

Looks mighty fine

I bought my green 113 240Z recently and theres such a debate on about the color with my family and friends. At first I was in 2 minds but now I think the color is great. Its a strange one cos you'll never get anyone sitting on the fence, some people will love it others loath it, never an "I'm not sure".

Sparky thanks alot for your pics, it made me smile cos I thing she looks mighty fine, then again even you are thinking of changing her color!

Also its kinda nice having a color that is a bit rare.

Thanks all for sharing your views.

Hey winoman!!!...the next time your elitist Jag friends put your green Z down just tell 'em it's "British Racing Green"...they will immediately love it!!!!...ask 'em sometime how they keep the paint from blistering on the hoods of their E-types!!!...
