I have the chance to buy a 240Z for 1,000$ It has nice bumpers that I will make work on my 280Z.
Also it has new door panels,visiors and seats and horn pad.
Will I be able to use these parts on my 280Z
And also I need a rear hatch bad, will this part interchange???

Bumpers -- hassle, but you can do it. Search the archives here for instructions on retrofitting them.

Horn pad/steering wheel should be no problem.

Rear hatch -- essentially identical. A good bit of work to make the switch (alignment, etc) but it should be just fine.

Visors-- okay.

Door panels -- may be a problem. It might be easier to swap the entire door.

Seats -- virtually identical except for mounting. The 240 and the 280 don't have the same hardware or the same mounting apparatus in the floorboard. But you can make it work once you pull your 280 seats and compare them with the 240 seats and floorboard mounting. Might need to do some welding.

If the 240 is otherwise complete, once you rob the parts you need for your car, you might be able to sell a lot of the parts right here on ZCAR.COM in the Parts section.

Can I use the front fenders of a 240 on my 280?
