240-280 struts
Can anyone tell me what, if any, difference there is between the strut cartridges for 240Z-260Z cars and 280s? Catalogs and the Tokico website seem to indicate two different stock numbers, but there is a fellow on eBay selling fronts (with 240 stock numbers) and rears (with 280ZX stock numbers) which he said were installed and worked fine in his '75 280. Is this possible?

Anyway, hint taken. I have given the requisite 15-20 minutes to archives and cannot find a direct answer to my question, but I guess I have enough of one. I know that 240-280 struts are not the same. I guess what I was asking is if anyone knows whether Tokico ever CHANGED numbers for their strut line, so that, for example, a strut with a current stock number indicating a 280ZX application might have once been applicable to another type of Z car application.
