Hey guys I work at a shop and am trying to source a rebuild kit for a z31 (1986 300zx turbo). I've found a rebuild kit for a non turbo and I've found seal kits but I've read the internals are different. I need everything from pistons to cams and crank. Does anyone have any links or know of any websites that carry an engine rebuild kit? If not are parts transferable if taken to a machine shop. Thanks for the help!

You should stick with the turbo kit. are you just rebuilding a stock engine, or are you trying to modify? the pistons on the non turbo will be different than the turbo ones. the cams may be different also. I had a rebuild done on my 87 non-turbo and I got a complete kit from rockauto.com, and it worked great. They might have it for turbo for you, and if not, there are kits all over ebay and other places on the internet.

check out www.xenonzcar.com for everything you need to know about the Z31, its engine, its history, and just about everything else.

Bon
I am rebuilding a stock engine for a customer, and I haven't been able to find any for the turbo model not even on ebay. I will try looking on rock auto though, and thank you for the link as well!

So quick update, that link helped me with finding part numbers, but I'm still coming up empty handed. Does anyone know about putting Z32 pistons, cams, crank, etc. into a Z31? We will be taking everything to a machine shop anyway so more of is it possible to do?
