I am finally getting my 1977 rear-end back together (poly bushings project) and am getting ready to put the driveshaft back in.

Do I need to apply some grease to the end of the driveshaft going into the tranny? If so, what type of grease?

P.S. 280zone....if you are out there...I want to buy those rims this week!!

Ron, any light coating of grease should work. Give me a day or so notice and I will get the rims out of the garage.

No. You will not need any grease... that is a waste. Just be certain to top off the tranny fluid you leaked when removing your driveshaft. Have fun. shane-
