Hi all,

I have a transmission question. My 1977 280z 4 spd. manual transmission has just started making a whining noise when I'm in 3rd gear. I've been driving it all summer with no problems and I've never heard this noise before. There are no clunking/grinding noises but just a medium to high pitched whining noise.

It's probably been 6 years since I've changed the transmission/differential fluids.

Is this an expensive fix or something easy like changing the tranny fluid?

Thanks!

Dan

While you are at it change the rear diff oil as well. I used amisol in my 5speed, now I use dextron ATF full synthetic (BW WC T5)
