I am contemplating purchasing the Factory Service Manual CD version from Courtesy Nissan. Does anyone know if the printed versions and CD Version is the same?

Additionally Courtesy only shows a 1975 version and not a 1976... No I know that the 1975 - 1976 Z's are virtually if not exactly the same. But Id like to know if 76 owners have this CD and have they run into any trouble.

All insights welcome.

Hi,
actually checked with both Craig from ZCarCreations, and Courtesy Nissan. I got some conflicting answers unfortunately. Craig says that Courtesy Nissan is offering the 76 version (and has been for a while), while Courtesy claims that they don't have anything for the 76 car. So, non-the-wiser, I'll probably go with the 1977 manual ...

Cheers

Well, let me correct myself ... after doing some more research, I believe the 75 FSM is the right one to pick for the 76, since the next larger production change didn't occur until the 77 model year:

1975 Needing increasingly complex technology to meet even tougher emissions regulations, Nissan boosts the Z-car's displacement to 2.8 liters and adds a version of Bosch's L-Jetronic fuel injection, creating the 1975 280-Z. Horsepower rating is increased to 149.

1977 A five-speed overdrive transmission is added to the 280-Z and horsepower climbs to 170. 1977 is also the Z's highest sales year to date, with 67,331 units sold.

So, I'm going to get the 75 FSM version.

Sorry about the confusion.
