2007 Touring

A dealer wants to sell me a 2007 touring 350Z for 32500...its got about 100 miles on it from a few test drives and such. Its not heavy on the options and looking at the web site the MSRP looks like it would be 33840 which is what he said on the phone...just wondering what you think of this price and deal...I'll go and see the car this weekend as its an hour or so drive away. thanks for any help...cheers Dave

Re: 2007 Touring

Isn't it the end Oct when the prices go down because the 2008s are rolling in? Look around if thats the best price buy it, ask him what the price will be after the end of the month?

Re: 2007 Touring

I would say you will be ready to buy November 1 due to cash flow reasons unless the price comes down another grand, see what he says then...

Re: 2007 Touring

sounds like a pretty decent price but like don said, it's the end of the year and if you wait until the end of this month, the price should get even better seeing dealers are always pressed for end of the month sales. and there's probably someone out there willing to go a little lower than that to get a 30k+ sale. definitely check a few other nissan dealers in your area.

Re: 2007 Touring

I bought a Touring 6 spd in June for $200 over invoice. I don't have the exact price here at work. The out the door price was $2900 less than the pre-order '03 Touring 6 spd I got in Aug '02. That's the difference between buying the Z as soon as it comes out at $500 over MSRP and buying now at $200 over invoice. I think now you should get it for no more than invoice + tax and license.

Two weeks ago we bought a '07 Murano SL AWD and got it for $1300 under invoice + tax and license probably cuz it is end of the year. Also I negotiated over the internet and started by quoting the salesman invoice and asked how much below that he could go. When we got to the dealer the car we wanted wasn't as he told us but fortunately there was another there we did want. When we sat down with him on that car which was a different price we had to negotiate again.

Again I started at invoice. When he wouldn't go low enough I pulled out a printout from another nearby dealer with their quote and strted looking at it. Their name was in big print at the top of it so he saw it. MSRP for that one was actually a little less than the one we were looking at, but he was quoting us a price below invoice. We made it clear after we left their place if we didn't buy their car we were heading there. He asked to look at that quote and said if he matched it would we buy his? We said sure the the rest is history. So bottom line is I think you can do better and start negotiating at invoice. The price he's quoting looks like its still significantly above invoice.

Also there were a couple Z's they had there and they were marked down $6000 and $8000 off MSRP. Check Edmonds for invoice prices. You can also ask the dealer to see it. They showed us the Murano one. Hope this helps you.

Re: 2007 Touring

Well thanks for all the help guys...I finally pulled the trigger after 5 yrs of waiting. Got it for 32300 and that included the daytime running lights and all export to canada paperwork and stuff like that. I'm happy with the purchase and the dealership in buffalo was very helpful. even with the tax and duty into canada its still going to be about 20Grand less than what i'd pay up here...I just had to do it...it truely was the car i wanted by fluke. Everything on it was how i would have ordered it...so all in all i'm happy!!! Just have to pray everything in the import process is good and then I'll REALLY be smiling...

Was on this forum in the past and now I'll be on here lots...the wait is almost over...pick the car up monday and I cant wait...

Cheers to all and hello again

David
