I rotate from Tech School to Kadena AFB Okinawa Japan. I am on the car hunt, and check the board in the APO. See a nice Toyota Carina GT advertised by a guy with the same name as the kid that sat behind me in History Class in 7th grade! Sure enough IT WAS!
While deployed to Korea FOL, while in the latrine, someone yells a familiar name. I look up to see another Marine three stalls over who looks startingly like a guy I wrestled against in our NEMC Regionals: sure enough, IT WAS.
I mean, 8,000 miles from home and guys you run into who you would never have thought you would ever see again!
Getting around with a travel job, I am always amazed by who I run into and WHERE.
I actually turned around in someone's driveway in Council Bluffs Iowa while in town doing work across the river in Omaha, only to find out it was the girl from across the street from back home in MIchigan!
Of course, it all played out like some wierd "Something about Mary" stalker scenario, and I couldn't wait to get the heck out of THAT wierd situation. But you never know when someone you once knew, will walk up to you and say "HI!"
Or maybe something else.
Some people should remember that while posting here...
It's already happened more than once! LOL

Canadians don't get it. Period. End of discussion.
