350Z Twin Turbo

Did your heart just leap for joy? See...that is how much you
really do want a new turbocharged Nissan sportscar. And
many folks say that they're happy with the new Naturally Aspirated 350Z...but down deep they really wish Nissan would offer it in turbo form too. Maybe if sales suck bad enough, Nissan will consider a turbo version later on.

TT = $40k+

the reason they are making 280+hp na is to keep cost below $30k, if u want twin turbo, get a Z32.

sounds like you haven't driven a TT

Once you've experienced a twin turbo, nothing else is quite the same.
I'll probably drive turbocharged cars the rest of my life. Non-linear
acceleration is like a gust of wind in your sails. Everything else
is just 4 wheels and a nice paint job.

Re: sounds like you haven't driven a TT

To each his own. I love my twin turbo. But, give me the choice of torque or turbos spooling, and I'll take the torque. Drive a new Vette or something of equal torque and hp, and you'll feel like a-kid-in-a-candystore. Consider a C5 makes more torque at 2000 rpms than our Twins do at anytime. I like the "right now" power.

Re: sounds like you haven't driven a TT

i "experienced" a twin turbo back in 1990.i was a chauffer for a guy who ran 8 hotels around the country.he bought a brand spanking new Z.i got to keep it when he was out of town.so,contrary to popular belief, youre not the only one thats ever driven a turbo Z.
and also,i was refering to your comment about the twin turbo350Z.i dont care if it had turbos or not,its not something i would buy.

Torque

the new 350Z motor is supposed to be very nice, especially for an NA, i mean its an NA that puts out 300 HP, whats to complain about the motor. It should have a lot of good low-end torque, which gives u that special push the INSTANT ur foot hits the gas. just my feelin on torque. I'm not saying twinturbo's on the 350Z wouldn't be nice, that would be great, but NA also makes it affordable.

okay...

its not the power.i dont care how much power the car has.its just doesnt look the way i want my next car to look.the new Z will prolly have great performance numbers....but like the wise man says,"i dont want to have sex with an ugly girl just because she knows how to thump."

Re: sounds like you haven't driven a TT

Exactly when did I say I was the only one to drive a Twin? Half of the people on this site drive one. I just drive one almost everyday compared to you driving one almost twelve years ago. I've read your post about ten times and I'm still lost with it's revelance to my post. Maybe I'm missing something. What's the Earth-shattering conclusion of you not wanting to buy a 350Z? Do you still think Nissan will go ahead with production knowing this?
