Where do I find these cover plates???

Hi there, ive got some rust in the hatchback area of the 87 z31. The rust is not on the body or frame, but it has totally destroyed the cover plates that seal off parts in the bottom of the hatch (I don’t know what’s under them because the screws are lost to rust and I haven’t bothered prying them away yet.) I have absolutely no clue what these plates are called or how to get new ones, or even if you can get new ones. If someone has any idea, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -Carson

Okay, sorry about that. This is the main plate I’m talking about. It is located in the left side of the the back hatch/trunk and I assume there was at one time some layer of cloth covering it. You can see how rusted and ruined they are.

If it is just surface rust, you can clean it up with a wire brush/wheel and then treat it so it doesn't rust again. Otherwise you will have to cut and weld in new metal.

I think the part you are needing is 74938-01P00, Insulator-Floor, Rear LH. Happy hunting.
