identitfy part

Does anyone recognize this part? I got it from a 1984 in a salvage yard, near the front headlight. But it was just laying there. So not sure if it goes to it. I haven't seen this part on my 1985.

That is a piece that attaches to or works with the headlights for when they raise or lower -- a "seal" for lack of a better term.

I think that goes on the back where the party in the diagram is labeled "protector".
