I have been maintenance my 88 Zia and recently pulled the alternator . i spotted a build up by the, crank pully . Its spoogy. The alternator was also caked on the side facing the engine. See Pic attached

looks like you have an oil pan leak and possibly a power steering leak, as it sits right above the alt on the mid to late Z31. you might as well upgrade and get the maxima 90A unit.

Are those parts compatible with the 91 maxima? Power steering pump and alternator?

i believe the alternator from the 89-92 maxima. i got one from a 91 i think.
