Looking for a good A/M-F/M Cassette original radio for 1984 Z.

Is Greg84ae still on here, hear he is the man with electronics.

Need help getting mine repaired if possible.

Ok. Installed new aftermarket Kenwood. Hooked up great. Now I was able to install antennae switch but will not go up or down. Sounds like it tries. Any answers to this.

I am also looking for where I could fix my A/M-F/M Cassette original radio for 1985 300 ZX. AM kind of work, FM did work for a few seconds, cassette deck is locked in position.

I wouldn't spend good money fixing a 35 year old, old technology, car stereo system. The original one in my 85T first broke back in the late 1980s, early 90's. After spending good money 3 different times to fix it in the 1990's, it broke a 4th time and I got rid of it and installed a new technology after market system with much more power and features. The main issue I had was the old radio would completely fade out until I smacked the side of the radio and it would work again for awhile. Like most old printed circuit boards, the solder gets old and you get open solder joints. Resolder a few connections and as time passes, other solder joints open. Same thing happens with the digital dashes, they need resoldering.

I would go aftermarket unless you are restoring the Z to near original condition

Restore it. Don't crush it. They don't make um like this anymore!

Black 1993 300ZX, NA, driven 6 months a year, well pampered
Dark Pewter 1985 300ZX Turbo just fully restored
