Digital Dash not working

Last fall the digital dash in my 1986 Turbo stopped working. Now that I have the car on the road for the summer, I figured its time to get it working again. I went online and did some research, and saw a video where the person removed the digital power supply and touched up the solder on the pins. I did that and it still does not work. My question is what would be my next step? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Yes The complete dash is dark, as well as the Compass and G force Meter are not working. I noticed yesterday that the odometer is not turning as well. I forgot to mention that last fall before the dash went dark, that the digital speedometer word stop working temporarily a few times. It would come back on after a a few minutes or more.

Have you checked the fuses, particularly the rear wiper fuse?

the odometer's sometimes go out. mine stopped working on my 87. you can get another unit from NPD, (just the odometer assy, not the whole digital dash) but its pretty expensive

might want to check your dash power supply under the drivers side dash, its up underneath the upper panel that's right around where your right knee sits while driving. these tend to have problems and cause the dash displays to go out and/or act funny.

This subject has been discussed many times, try doing a search. If the digital dash power supply is getting power than the soldered pins inside the box may need re-soldering. If not than the digital dash may need to be replaced. If so check with Steve Berman at 300zxpartsforyou.com or EBAY. also look here

Thanks, I checked the meter fuse, it was good, but not the rear wiper. I will do that later today and post a note with the result

Thanks, I am going to have a friend check the speed sensor and cable as well. I am going to check the pins on the power supply again and make sure each one gets soldered again, in case we missed some

not sure why we're telling him/her the location of the power supply and suggesting re-soldering, that was stated already done

If the rear wiper fuse is blown the dash will go dark.
