1975 280z seats

My car is pretty much a survivor and I am trying to keep it that way as much as possible. However the driver seat has some pretty bad rips on the bottom panel. The sides look good, just the textured black leather/vinyl(not sure what it is).
Is there any source of this material out there? I would like to take it to a auto upholstery shop that can patch just that part as the rest looks good.
I just found this

anyone know how close to orig look they are?

I got the covers for my 240Z from Motorsport Auto. Made by SEATZ and quality, fit and looks are excellent. I had an upholstery shop install them.

They have yours here: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PR...c08f01/40-2645

I recently got MSA foam replacements for my seats. They worked out really well. Here are photos of the seat and back foams as well as how the seats look with that foam. Note these covers are leather and not from MSA.

The foam looks good. I may pop for that as well. I have to think what's in there is shot.

Here's what my foam looked like when it was removed. BTW, that's original horsehair ...

No. They had been repadded several years ago by another upholsterer and this time they just replaced what was needed.

I bought the seat foam from Banzai Motorworks for my 240Z and 260Z. I bought the covers from Blackdragon Auto. It's not that difficult to do the work.

Dave - Now is the time to decide what your goals are for this car. Do you want to just get the interior looking essential stock OK or do you want to improve it. There are kits out there for the seats and replacements for pretty much all the interior pieces. The original material is vinyl - durable and relatively inexpensive. If you're eventually contemplating leather then now would be the time to do that. I'd check with Katzkin to see if they have a leather seat kit. The rest of the panels would have to be done by an upholstery shop.
